Designated Seats!!!

This year my students had a hard time with staying in their seats and fighting over chairs. I decided to end the war and assign seats! To do this I went to Walmart and bought my colors of duct tape for each student. I then set forth to separate the table so every student had their own area. I then color coded the students chair so they knew which was their chair and where they needed to sit. When the tape starts to pill up I will change spots for each student while keeping their color the same. This has been great for my students to take ownership for cleaning up their area and taking care if their chair

A Color for Each Student!
With 8 students in my room I wanted to easily be able to give each student a color. My students have the same color for the entire year. From the first day of school I talk to students about what their color is and where it is used throughout the room in students' cubbies, agendas, work folders, chairs, table and all of my things for the students that I use for testing/ documentation. Color coding works really wonderful to teach students their colors especially for those that can't recognize their name.
